If the Landlords are organized, why aren’t the tenants? 

The path to true housing reform, and the betterment of tenants rights lies in organizing. The landlord class became as powerful as they are today through their own collective action. They colluded to create a Real Estate industry that has a chokehold on housing, incentives tenant exploitation, and has massive political influence. 

BSTA is a self-governed organization committed to building collective tenant power across Chicagoland. A unified tenant class has the ability to shape the future of housing, and combat the greedy, oppressive landlord class that continues to profit off the human right to housing.
